We were called to diagnose a persistent leaking situation on the Clearstory above the altar in the Parkway Church of Christ, Allentown, Pa.? This leak was apparently a problem with original design.? Window sills on the Clearstory were angled on the bottom and channeling water into the building.? Original Cedar Frames were not rotting, but were capped and caulked with material inches thick.? Measurements were taken from the inside and the outside of the building.? Flashings were inspected.? Original blueprints were made available by Church staff.? A plan was devised including custom sized Andersen Flexiframe Windows.? Sills were to be rebuilt straight with an outward slope to provide a true watershed away from the openings of the windows.? Project has been in service for years.? Leaks are no longer a problem.
